The AfricanYouth4Forests (AY4F) Youth Advisory Council (YAC) brings together passionate, trailblazing young leaders driving change for Africa’s forests and climate future. These bright minds help steer our mission with fresh ideas, local insight, and unstoppable energy.
Diverse in background but united in purpose, our YAC members co-create solutions, advocate for youth, and ensure that the voice of a generation is heard in every forest-related decision.
What Council Members Do

Nancy Barisoa Andriamiarimbola Madagascar
Nancy is a software engineer, climate advocate, and a champion for gender equality and youth empowerment. She leads the EcoShe Project, recognized by CDKN for climate justice. A Huawei Tech4Good Awardee and one of 50 Outstanding African Women in Development, Nancy also founded the Tanora Revolution Podcast and created the feminist documentary HerVoice.

Farhan Moshood Nigeria
Farhan is an environmental researcher and co-founder of Ihsan Nature and Community Advancement Foundation. He brings expertise in forest ecology and biodiversity, with over 20 publications and Rufford Foundation grants. He chairs the AY4F Youth Advisory Council and is a dedicated GIS analyst and youth advocate.

Catherine Patrick South Sudan
Catherine holds a BSc in Entrepreneurial Leadership with a focus on Planetary Health. She is Vice Chair of AY4F YAC, a YALI RLC EA and CoalitionWILD alumna, and contributor at COP16 and UNEA 6. Her storytelling fuels her environmental advocacy and leadership in land restoration.

Takudzwa Ashley Mlambo Zimbabwe
Takudzwa leads Zimbabwe’s largest tree-planting initiative, aiming for 1 billion trees by 2030. With 5+ years of experience, he supports youth-led climate action and has represented youth at UNCCD COP16, the Youth Biodiversity Conference, and the G20 Urban Forest Symposium.

Tabe Brandon Cameroon
Tabe is a geographer and founder of Greensphere, combating mangrove deforestation and indoor pollution. A National Geographic Explorer, SOA Ocean Ambassador, and Act4Food leader, he is also the Commonwealth Ocean Champion and Innovation Manager for the Commonwealth Youth Council Africa.
