The UN Development Programme (UNDP) and UNFCCC Dialogue will convene stakeholders from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia to exchange experiences on the implementation of the Paris Agreement on climate change.
The event aims to: exchange national experiences and views related to Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) implementation planning, including linkages to the SDGs and other planning processes, as well as opportunities to advance gender equality; identify opportunities for translating NDCs into concrete actions, in particular in the energy sector; discuss finance considerations, including private sector engagement, in the context of NDC implementation; and consider future steps on NDCs in the context of the Talanoa Dialogue, raising ambition, and long-term development strategies (LTS).
Hosted by the Government of Georgia, the event is supported by the EU and the Governments of Germany, Japan and Norway, in collaboration with the NDC Partnership.
