The 2025 African Climate Week (ACW), held in conjunction with the Africa Climate Summit, will bring together leaders from governments, civil society, the private sector, academia, and development organizations to accelerate climate action across the continent.

This high-level event will provide a platform for African countries to showcase progress, share innovative climate solutions, and strengthen regional collaboration in line with the Paris Agreement and Agenda 2063. The summit will spotlight Africa’s unique climate challenges and opportunities—particularly in adaptation, renewable energy, climate finance, and nature-based solutions.

Key Objectives:

  • Amplify African voices and priorities in global climate discourse
  • Mobilize public and private investment for low-carbon and climate-resilient development
  • Facilitate partnerships to implement Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and national adaptation plans
  • Align climate action with sustainable development and green growth goals

Organized under the auspices of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the ACW forms part of the Regional Climate Weeks leading up to COP30.
