The YFPDs are organized by the International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA) and FOREST EUROPE. They enable the youth community to exchange knowledge and gain more insights about international forest policies.
The event is divided into three days:
- Workshop Day (1st of December) which focuses on capacity building and soft skills.
- Conference Day (2nd of December) with sessions on the role of youth in forest policy, real-world examples of implemented forest policy and panel discussions with all major stakeholders about sustainable forest management (by FOREST EUROPE), restoration (by GLF), halting deforestation (by IUFRO) and Forest Finance.
