Mr. Emmanuel Ze Meka (Cameroun) 
Member of Governing Council-Observer (ITTO)

He is the Executive Director of the International Tropical Timber Organisation (ITTO). The ITTO is an observer institution on the Governing Council meetings. After post-graduate studies in forestry at the University of Laval in Canada, he worked with the Government of Cameroon from 1977 to 1991. During this period, he served as the Technical Director of the Cameroon Wood Promotion Center and later as Director of the Forest Department of Cameroon in charge of the overall planning and supervision of the development of the national forestry sector. He also served as the adviser to the Minister in Charge of Forests in matters related to the organization of the forestry administration and staff training. He joined the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) in 1991 as a Projects Manager. Thereafter he served as the Assistant Director for Forest Industry, and then became the Assistant Director for Reforestation and Forest Management. He was appointed Executive Director of ITTO in 2007. As Executive Director, he guides the strategic direction of the organization, overseeing a Secretariat of 40 people and ITTO’s extensive work programme throughout the tropics.

Ms Alima Issufo Taquidir (Mozambique)

She is the Head of Forestry Department in the National Directorate of Land and Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture, Mozambique. Formerly she was the  head of forestry research in Mozambique.
